Sarah is an accomplished healthcare executive and brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitals and health systems. Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

 

Sarah has spent most of her career in leadership positions in hospitals and health systems. Within healthcare she has served as the CEO, EVP, SVP with a strong underpinning of clinical foundation as a nurse with a business degree

 

Sarah’s final corporate role before establishing her coaching consulting practice was Executive Chief Nursing Officer for the Cleveland Clinic, a 10 hospital international company with over 7 Billion in revenue.  While there she integrated and standardized the practice of nursing and 11,000 nurses across the entire system.  She also served on the Governance structure at the executive and Board level. She was a sought after speaker on Transformational Leadership nationally and served on the Hill Rom Nursing Board.

 

Sarah served as the EVP at Covenant Health, a 6 hospital system in Knoxville, TN.  Much of her work was developing the leadership team, Board development, Service Line strategy and growth, Strategic Planning and Physician strategy development.

 

Sarah stepped out of operations and became the SVP for Strategic Market Development and Growth at Novant Health in NC.  During her time there she established strong relationships with community governments serving on the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary, which ultimately resulted in an approved Certificate of Need (CON) to build a hospital in the market.

 

Sarah led the first hospital network in Clinical Integration in the 90's resulting in 11 hospitals on Long Island contracting with the 5 large insurance companies in the state of New York.

 

Sarah's diverse background and experience in healthcare leadership and strategic development makes her a recognized leader that has a passion for coaching and developing future leaders and teams on their journey to success.

 

Education and Training

 

Sarah holds a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola College and a Bachelors in Nursing from Southern Adventist University.

 

Sarah completed the program at Hudson Institute for Coaching and received Certification in 2003, which is when she officially started her formal coaching career.

 

She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE) and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a recognition in Nursing excellence.

 

Publications and Appearances

 

Sarah has presented at the Congress for Healthcare Executives on process design and optimization of staff.  She also held a webinar on Transformational Leadership for ACHE.

She has been interviewed and appeared in several Business magazines and spoken on panels on the art of being a change agent and building strong teams.
